The Virtual Tank Concept

Cloud Caster draws a virtual tank around the parameters of where your stockpile should be, then uses lidar scanning to measure how full the pile is relative to that virtual boundary.

The result is a real-time 3D web-based visualization showing the actual shape and volume of your stockpile — updated continuously, accessible from any browser.

Lidar measures distance down to the millimeter. That's a fundamental improvement over belt scales, which measure tonnage delivered — not what's actually in the pile. Belt scale accuracy degrades as ore density and particle size vary over time. Lidar gives you true volumetric measurement of what's actually there.

A centralized server aggregates data from all edge units and serves the 3D stockpile visualization, historical trending, and operational statistics — all accessible from any web browser on your network.
